Zayed Charity Marathon - Abu Dhabi 2022

The Annual Zayed Charity Run this year will be held under the generous patronage His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan the Ruler's representative in AlDhafra region on November 19th, 2022 The annual event was first launched in 2001 in Abu Dhabi. It is a tribute to the founding father of the nation, the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May God rest his soul) The Charity Run has had a few editions held around the world like in New York and Egypt. Bike Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo

The Bike Abu Dhabi Festival is bringing a Gran Fondo to the Emirate! Starting in the capital city of Abu Dhabi and going all the way to the Garden City of Al Ain, the very first Bike Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo is a challenging 150km race for our avid cycling community. With a total prize pool of AED 2,000,000 this Gran Fondo is the highlight of the cycling season. Participants will be split into different groups. The first group is dedicated to elite men and women (UAE clubs and teams). The remaining participants will be split based on their average speed. Participants are free to select from speed pods which best suit their abilities.

8th International Yoga Day

ADSC in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and the blessings of HH Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan UAE Minister of Tolerance. International Yoga Day has been celebrated every year either in person or in virtual format. Come together at the magnificent Zayed Cricket Stadium with the community from across the UAE to participate in the Day. Under the theme “Yoga for Humanity” . we aim to bring people together through kindness and compassion in an effort to show our strength in the difficult times of the pandemic. Look forward to attending a mix of different Yoga practices given to us by our partners (Body Tree Studio, Seven Wellness Studio, and the main session by the Indian Embassy that will witness a 45-minute session to learn basic yoga movements “Common Yoga Protocol” The event will be free to access for all public and entry to all ages.

Wadi Adventure Race 21

Register now for a testing 5km and challenging 10Km obstacle course in the 21st edition of the Wadi Adventure Race (W.A.R.) Both the Elite and Just for Fun 10Km and 5Km will be timed, however the ONLY the ELITE Category celebrates podium finishers, providing all obstacles are completed. With War21 we bring new timing and tracking services along with the new ' facial recognition' photo service and finally a range of exciting new obstacles across both the 5Km and 10Km course. The Liwa Urban Cycle Race returns on Friday April 10. The race will start and finish outside the Liwa Hotel and see riders traverse either the classic 84Km course over the rolling dunes around Liwa or the 25Km option which is a new intermediate challenge. This is a NEW Course measuring just on 84Km for the experienced riders

FBMA Ladies Cycling

Ladies, you are invited to participate in a training session from 6pm to 7:15pm with senior cycling ladies who will lead the session. Once the cycling competency session is completed, the event will move to a sportive event starting at 7:30pm. Ladies will be able to cycle at their 'own' pace for up to an hour and then at the 60 minute mark the bell will ring for the bell lap and which time all ladies left will be able to cycle for a 'finishing' position. ALL Ladies will receive a finishers medal regardless of how many laps ALL Ladies will receive a downloadable certificate showing how many laps they have completed and a ranking.

The Abu Dhabi Cycling Club welcomes Mountain Bike riders to Al Ain Zoo for a casual cycling sportive. On offer will be a junior ride on a beginner rated loop course on the outskirts of the main zoo entrance. For the more experienced riders we have in place a moderate course of approximately 15km with the option of 2 laps. All riders joining and completing the ride will enjoy a post ride breakfast at Mikel Cafe courtesy of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club. Check in time is from 7am with the ride to start at 8am.

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Beach Sports Festival Beach Football series concludes on January 24 at Al Bahar Beach on the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. Player Numbers and Timing 10 squad players, 7 a side on pitch at any one time (18 years and above) Matches will be 10 mins in duration – No half time The clock stopped every time there is a break in play. Once you have entered, teams will be split into group A and B and we will have a staggered kick off to eliminate too much waiting around. Group A kick off at 5pm Group B kick off at 7.00pm Finals from 9pm Registration check in for both groups will open 30minutes before KO.

ADCB Make-A-Wish 5&10Km Run

Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Sheikha Bint Saif Al Nahyan, the ADCB Zayed Sports City 5&10K run returns on 10 January 2020 and celebrates 10 years of Make-A-Wish UAE Foundation. The January run will support the Make-A-Wish UAE Foundation with proceeds from the run being donated to this worthy cause. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Beach Sports Festival will be held between September and January on Al Bahar Beach on the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. Beach Basketball tournaments are scheduled for 18 th October, 29th November, January 10 and February 21. The tournament will follow rules as set by FIBA. House Rules This is an 'OPEN TO ALL'; tournament. All nationalities are welcome toparticipate. All players must be 18+ years old on the day of the tournament. Maximum number of 10 players per team.

Cycling in 2020 returns to Al Wathba for a Friday afternoon into evening race.

Al Wathba Cross Country

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council presents the first run for 2020, the cross country hill climb event at Al Wathba. Runners have the option of entering either 1 Climb (5Km) or 2 Climbs (10Km) of the hill affectionately known by runners as 'Birdcage Mountain'. A Free Bus Service will operate between Abu Dhabi Bus Terminal and Al Wathba ( limited seats available)

Beach Volleyball

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Beach Sports Festival will be held between September and January on Al Bahar Beach on the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. Beach Volleyball tournaments are scheduled for October 4th, November 15, December 27 and February 7th.

Daman Open Water Swim

Daman Open Water Swimming Competition - Abu Dhabi Corniche Beach Open Water Swimming festival to be held on Saturday 21st December 2019 on Corniche Beach Abu Dhabi. To be held on the beach that once hosted the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon on the East Plaza, we offer a 3000m (3Km), 2 lap swim as the feature race. Join us at this wonderful beach with your family and friends where you can participate by swimming in a range of swim distances. Competition distances are 3Km (3000 m), 1.5Km (1500m), 750m and especially for the little ones we are offering the 200m dash. CUT OFF TIME for the 3000m (3Km) swim - any swimmer failing to complete the first lap of the course inside 40 minutes will be stopped from starting lap 2. This timing is in place for the safety of all participants.

City Run Presented by Al Ain Water

The City Run presented by Al Ain water returns for Race 2 on Friday 20 December 2019 for a lovely run along the Corniche. City Run 2 offers runners the opportunity to run either 5Km, 10Km or the half marathon distance of 21.1 km.

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Beach Sports Festival will be held between September and January on Al Bahar Beach on the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. Beach Football tournaments are scheduled for September 20, November 1, December 13 and January 24.

Al Ain Cycle Race

The Al Ain Cycle Race returns on Friday December 13, 2019. This season we return to start at Wadi Adventure and will offer two race distances being a flat course (Green Mubazzarah) and climb course (Jebel Hafeet).

2019 Duathlon: Race 2 | Al Hudayriat Island The Abu Dhabi Sports Council presents duathlon race 2 on Al Hudayriat Island on the morning of 30th November 2019. Team Time Trial

Team Time Trial The Race will be over 50km (5 laps of the 10Km loop). Teams can choose from ROAD BIKE or TIME TRIAL BIKES. If a one rider is on a TT then the team must enter the Time Trial contest. There is Junior/Youth up to 23 and Open category, male and female teams. Teams are 4 riders with a minimum of 3 to finish.

Al Hudayriat Triathlon Festival

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council presents the Second Triathlon Festival for 2019 at Al Hudayriat Island on Friday November 29 and 30. The November Race will see the return of a LONG COURSE option. 3Km Swim, 100Km Bike ride and 10Km run. Protected swim course, open and spacious transition, a looped bike course with NO TRAFFIC and a run course with a twist. Beach Basketball

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Beach Sports Festival will be held between September and January on Al Bahar Beach on the Corniche, Abu Dhabi. The beach basketball tournaments continue on 29th November, January 10 and February 21. Player Numbers and Timing 4.30pm Registration Opens 5:00pm Bracket A Tip Off 6.00pm Bracket B Tip Off 7.00pm Semi-Finals 8.00pm Final 9:30pm Award Ceremony The tournament will follow rules as set by FIBA. House Rules This is an 'OPEN TO ALL'; tournament. All nationalities are welcome toparticipate. All players must be 18+ years old on the day of the tournament. Maximum number of 10 players per team. Team representatives are required to arrive 30mins pre-game to draw their game slot (4:30PM). Each team must have 5 players present 15minutes before their assigned game slot. Inability to arrive before the start of the game will result in automatic disqualification and the opposing team will be declared as the winner and will go to the semi-finals.

Open Water Swimming Competition returns to Al Hudayriat Island The 3rd Open Water Swimming festival of the season will be held on Friday 22 November 2019 at Al Hudayriat Island. Join us at this wonderful beach with your family and friends where you can participate by swimming in a range of swim distances. Competition distances are 3Km (3000m), 1.5Km (1500m), 750m and especially for the little ones we are offering the 200m dash. CUT OFF TIME for the 3000m (3Km) swim - any swimmer failing to complete the first lap of the course inside 30 minutes will be stopped from starting lap 2 and then within the hour for completing lap 2 to be eligible to start lap 3. This timing is in place for the safety of all participants. The Open Water swim competition will start at 8am. The anticipated start times are: 3000m at 8am 1500m at 9:10am 750m at 9:50am 200m at 10:15am

Striders Half Marathon

Striders Half Marathon & 10 km Run | Yas Island The 35th Striders Half Marathon and 10 km run feature a fast mostly flat picturesque International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) measured course starting at Yas Waterworld, taking in the Yas Plaza Hotels Precinct, Yas Marina, Ferrari World, Yas Mall VIP Entrance Ramp, and the greater environs of Yas Island. The 2019 Half Marathon course will offer a variation over previous years with runners passing through the grounds of the Yas Marina F1 Track. All Runners finishing the run will receive a finishers medal.

Al Ain Water City Run

City Run: Race 1 - Abu Dhabi Al Ain Water City Run: The City Run series returns to Abu Dhabi on Friday 8th November 2019 presented by Al Ain Water. The Run will be held on Heritage Flagpole Road starting near the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club and heading towards the flagpole. Participants can choose to run 2.5km (single lap), 5km (2 laps) or 10km (4 laps). Open Water Swim

The November 8th 2019 Open Water Swim will be held at the Abu Dhabi Sailing Club , Abu Dhabi Theater Road near Marina Mall. The community races will consist of a 3km, 1.5km, 750m open water swim and 200m splash & dash. Following the City Run held earlier in the morning our attention moves to the beach at the Abu Dhabi Sailing Club. The 3km swim will commence at 9:30am followed by the 1.5Km, 750m and then 200m.

Cycle@TrainYAS

Cycle@TrainYAS is a competitive extension of the Train Yas program presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Daman Insurance and Yas Marina Circuit. A long form criterium race which finishes when the first rider crosses the line having completed the contested number of laps. Times and positioning are awarded on most laps completed in the quickest time for the age groups awards.

Al Wathba Cycling Sportive

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council presents our first race of the season at the Al Wathba Cycle Track. The feature race is the 90km long course starting at 7am (3x laps of the 30 km loop) , with the Junior races starting from 7:20am. Race options are 90Km, 60Km or 30Km along with Junior races of 8Km and 16Km. Registration for collection of race bibs, race plate and timing chip is from 6:00 am. Westin Kilo Marathon

Westin Kilomarathon Night Run | Westin Golf Resort The Westin Kilomarathon Night Run is an evening run under the lights of one of the world's most iconic golf courses, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Runners can enter the Kilomarathon (26.2 km) run over 6 laps of a looped course which is a combination of grass fairways, cart paths, sand mounds and gravel off road. Shorter distances are the Half Kilo (13.1 km) run over 3 laps or a 1-lap (4.3 km) run. Player Numbers and Timing 10 squad players, 7 a side on pitch at any one time (18 years and above) Matches will be 10 mins in duration – No half time The clock stopped every time there is a break in play. Once you have entered, teams will be split into group A and B and we will have a staggered kick off to eliminate too much waiting around. The Abu Dhabi Ladies Dash is an accessible short distance and fun race for ladies and girls (aged 13 and over) designed to promote a healthier lifestyle. It provides a fantastic opportunity for ladies in the UAE to get together with friends, family members and colleagues for an evening of fun and healthy activities.

Al Ain Zoo Run

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with Al Ain Zoo presents the 19 October 2019 run. Starting at the main entrance, runners will enter the park and loop around to the Safari area. Continuing past the flamingo pond, through the lovely winding paths of the world desert area and on to the African habitat. After passing zebras, camels and giraffes the route zigzags past lions and chimps (who may be cheering you on) and around the big cat oasis before heading back to the main entrance. How many animals can you spot? Did you out sprint the cheetah? Join us and the Al Ain Zoo residents for a 2.5 km short lap, 5 km long lap or two long laps for the 10 km option. A unique run in one of the most beautiful areas of the UAE.

Discover America Run

Join us for the first ever Discover America Run on Al Maryah Island on October 18 in Abu Dhabi. Thanks to U.S. company partners and the U.S. Embassy, the event promotes personal mobility and healthy habits and welcomes people of all abilities to run or walk in this unique event. The Run will start and finish in front Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi on the Al Galleria promenade. ADCB 5 & 10 km Pink Run | Zayed Sports City is an ABSOLUTE SELL OUT The 9th Annual Pink Run has officially sold out. We have opened a VERY LIMITED amount of 'Run For A Cause' bibs priced at AED250 per bib, that will allow interested persons to participate, however these limited race entries only give you the right to participate and receive a finish time and post run refreshments. You will not receive a pink run shirt, tutu or bag and only post event should there be any left over medals you can claim one after prize presentations. Individual Time Trial 20Km

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council will host the Individual Time Trial at Al Hudayriat Island on 4 October 2019. Riders can use either a road bike or time trial bike with separate categories for each type of bicycle. The Individual Time Trial will be approximately 20 km (2 laps) with the start line on the Service Road and finish line at the Y Fork at the track exit. The race will start at 4:00 pm.

Run@TrainYAS

Run @TrainYAS Race 1 will be held on Tuesday evening October 1st, the run will be an extension of Train Yas and be held on a modified 2.5Km course within the North Circuit offering runners the choice of a 2.5Km, 5Km or 10Km run. Train Yas will operate from 6pm to 8pm with the Run@TrainYAS to commence promptly at 8:30pm

Yas Mall Indoor Run 2

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council Indoor run series continues in September with Race 2 at Yas Mall. Home of the original indoor series from 2017 we return to Yas Mall for the 3rd run of the summer with the start and finish near the VIP Entrance. The run is on a 2.5km looped course through the ground floor of the mall in cool air conditioning. Start your running and walking season here at Yas Mall on 27th September 2019. Check-in will be from 7am with the runs starting at 8:15am. Cost of entry is AED55+VAT. All finishers will receive a finishers medal.

Al Ain Cycle Race The Al Ain Cycle Race returns on Friday September 20, 2019. Indoor runs return to Yas Mall on Friday August 30. Sign up for a 2.5Km, 5Km or 10Km indoor run in the mall.

Du Yas

DuYAS is a duathlon being held Yas Marina Circuit, as part of the Zayed Sports Tournament organized by the Armed Forces Officers Club &Hotel. The Zayed Sports Tournament is a tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The tournament honours sportsmanship and his legacy of engaging communities. Taking place on 28 May at Yas Marina Circuit the duathlon involves completing three activities in succession including a run, followed by a cycle and finishing with a run as an individual or team of two or three people. The noted contest is to be 5Km run, followed by 20Km bike ride and concludes with a 2.5Km run. Check in for the event is from 7:30pm to 9pm with the race starting from 9:30pm Registrations are limited 400 people only.

Ramadan Night Run | Yas Marina Circuit

The return of the Ramadan Night Run at Yas Marina Circuit. To be held on Tuesday evening May 14, the run will be an extension of Train Yas and be held on a modified 2.5Km course within the North Circuit offering runners the choice of a 2.5Km, 5Km or 10Km run. Participants are welcome to take part in Train Yas before the runs start from 9:30pm

Yas Island Ramadan Cycle Race

The return of the Ramadan Cycle race to Yas Marina Circuit. Total Laps are up to 10 of the full 5.5Km circuit for Men and 8 for Women Men will start first with Ladies straight after. THE CRIT Format: A long form criterium race which finishes when the first rider crosses the line having completed the contested number of laps. Times and positioning are awarded on most laps completed in the quickest time for the age groups awards. The Intermediate Sprint winner is the cyclist who passes under the finish arch of the second-last lap in first position. For age groupers we will award the riders who complete the most laps in their designated age group. For the age group awards you don't necessarily have to finish all laps, you just have to have completed the most laps for your age group in the quickest time. You may join in with Train Yas from 6pm to 9pm but must bring your registration card to gain access to the track. Race check-in for bib, bike plate and timing chip is from 7:30pm to 9:30pm with the race getting underway as close to 10:00pm as possible.

UAE Team Emirates Youth Academy: Show Case

UAE Team Emirates Youth Academy Cycling Festival After a successful three-week in-schools program in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Team Emirates Youth Academy will be hosting a cycling festival on Saturday 4th May at Yas Marina Circuit. The cycling festival will give children who have participated in the UAE Team Emirates Youth Academy the chance to showcase their cycling ability through a range of fun activities including races and skills challenges. But the fun doesn't stop there. Any newcomers are welcome to attend and can take part in a number of taster sessions, speak to qualified coaches for cycling advice and guidance.

Al Mirfa Cycling Competition will be held on Saturday April 20. The Cycling competition will be held over 70km with awards to the following age groups. Under 23, 24-39, 40-49 and 50+years

Al Mirfa Running Competition

The Al Mirfa Running competition will be held on Friday afternoon April 19. There will be 3 race distances 3Km for juniors under the age of 18 and for adults a 5Km and 10Km running race.

Open Water Swim

Open Water Swim | Al Hudayriat The Abu Dhabi Sports Council presents the 6th swimming festival for the season to be held on Saturday April 13 at Al Hudayriat Beach. Join us at this wonderful beach with your family and friends where you can participate by swimming in a range of swim distances. Competition distances are 1 mile (1600 m), ½ mile (800 m), ¼ mile (400 m) and especially for the younger children we are offering the 200m dash.

Liwa Urban Cycle Race

Liwa Urban Sportive | Liwa The Liwa Urban Cycle Race returns on Friday April 12. The race will start and finish outside Liwa Hotel and see riders traverse either the classic 70Km course over the rolling dunes around Liwa or the 25Km option which is a new intermediate challenge. This is a NEW Course. It has a reverse loop for the Long Course Riders https://www.plotaroute.com/route/767808?units=km The Race instructions are a must read please. For riders arriving early, Liwa Hotel will provide a complimentary tea and coffee station. Registration from 6:00 am with the race starting at 7:00 am. A post ride breakfast and refreshments are available at Liwa Hotel (chargeable).

Abu Dhabi Sports Council Al Ain Cycle Race | Al Ain The Abu Dhabi Sports Council's Al Ain Cycle Race commences at Wadi Adventure with the finish at the top of Jebel Hafeet. The event offers two race distances starting at Wadi Adventure with a relatively flat looped course before the climb to the top which is 12 km long. Distances: Short Course: 47 km, 3 x 10 km laps then riding to the top of Jebel Hafeet. Long Course: 67 km, 5 x 10 km laps then riding to the top of Jebel Hafeet. ADCB Zayed Sports City Pink 5 & 10K Run

ADCB Zayed Sports City Pink 5 & 10k Run The 8th Annual Pink Run is a 5 km or 10 km run held within the grounds of Zayed Sports City on Friday 12 October 2018, starting and finishing outside the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex, with views of the iconic Zayed Football Stadium and overlooking world class rugby pitches. This is an immensely popular event so registrations will close once sold out. We recommend registering as soon as possible well before the 1 October deadline, to ensure you make it to the start line.
