Abu Dhabi Cycling Club sends four cyclists to participate in UCI internship programme in Switzerland

Abu Dhabi Cycling Club announced that four of its cyclists were officially invited to participate in a internship programme at the International Cycling Union headquarters in Switzerland.

The cyclists Suhail Al Khazraji, Khaled Al Nuaimi, Hamad Al Mehairbi, and Hareb Al Marzooqi are participating in the programme, which started last week and continues until 13 September.

The programme includes several training and educational sessions for cyclists, in the presence of players from the most prominent international clubs and teams.

Al Nekhaira Al Khaili, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, confirmed that the club's cyclists’ participation is a result of the club’s ongoing cooperation with the International Cycling Union and keenness to provide the best programmes for their cyclists.

He also affirmed that the club would continue to support its cyclists and develop their talents to the highest levels, preparing them to participate in various local, continental and international championships.

Suhail Al Areefi, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, confirmed that the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club cyclists’ training at the UCI headquarters is an important step towards improving their skills by interacting with other international cyclists and learning the best modern preparation methods.

Al Areefi said: “This new step is credited to the management of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, which is working hard to improve the technical level of their cyclists in light of the great interest in cycling in Abu Dhabi, which has become a global hub for the sport.”
