The competitions will be held from 27 to 30 October at the Mohammed Bin Zayed City Swimming Pool in Abu Dhabi.
The organising committee of the tournament held its first meeting, headed by Abdullah Al Wahaibi, to finalise the agenda. Al Wahaibi confirmed the completion of all preparations to host the tournament, which will witness the participation of 119 male and female swimmers from 17 Arab countries: the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Djibouti, Mauritania, Morocco and Iraq.
Al Wahaibi confirmed that the names of the organising and working committees have been approved, in addition to the marketing and media plan for the tournament, as well as all matters related to volunteers. Visas for participating countries, transportation, and places of residence in Abu Dhabi have also been finalised, alongside preparing the Mohammed Bin Zayed City Swimming Pool for this major Arab event.
The Chairman of the Organising Committee also stated that the date of the technical meetings has been agreed upon, as there will be a meeting for the participating teams on the afternoon of 26 October at the teams’ residence hotel, followed by a meeting of the referees on the same day at the Mohammed Bin Zayed City Swimming Pool.
