Burjeel Games 2025 is set to return bigger and better, bringing together healthcare professionals and the wider community for a spectacular week of sports and festivities. Scheduled from March 8 to 15 at Al Hudayriyat Island, Abu Dhabi, the event is organized by Burjeel Holdings, a leading super-specialty healthcare provider in the MENA region, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC).

The annual sporting event organized during the holy month will feature a variety of sporting competitions, including football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, padel, relay races, and the signature Burjeel Fitness Competition, ensuring a dynamic experience for all participants with dedicated categories for men and women.

A Celebration of Sports and Community

In its highly anticipated sixth edition, the sporting event aligns with the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’, reinforcing the importance of unity, physical well-being, and community engagement. This year, Burjeel Games 2025 will introduce a special community event – Tug of War, inviting not just healthcare professionals but also members of the community to participate in an exhilarating show of teamwork and strength. The Tug of War competition, scheduled on the final day, will be a symbol of camaraderie, resilience, and collective spirit, making it a fitting tribute to the UAE’s Year of Community.

H.E. Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “We are delighted to be part of the sixth edition of Burjeel Games 2025—an event that exemplifies our commitment to promoting sports as a way of life and fostering community engagement in an exciting and dynamic setting. Burjeel Games aligns with our vision of building a healthier, more active society, especially as we celebrate 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ in the UAE. We strongly believe that sports serve as a powerful tool to strengthen social bonds, cultivate a culture of health and fitness, and enhance overall quality of life. Together with our partners at Burjeel Holdings, we look forward to an exceptional week of competitions and meaningful interactions among participants.”

Over 1,700 healthcare professionals from across Burjeel facilities are expected to participate in Burjeel Games 2025, making it the largest healthcare sports event in the UAE.

Mr. Safeer Ahamed, Group Co-CEO of Burjeel Holdings, remarked, “Burjeel Games has always been about encouraging connections, and in 2025, we take it a step further by welcoming the community to be a part of our journey. We look forward to another successful edition of Burjeel Games and thank ADSC for its support.”
