Elisa Longo Borghini wins Stage 3 of the UAE Tour Women and is the new Red Jersey
Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) has won Stage 3 of the first edition of the UAE Tour Women, ahead of teammate Gaia Realini and Silvia Persico (UAE Team ADQ).
Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) is the new Red Jersey and leads the GC.

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the stage winner and Red Jersey Elisa Longo Borghini said: "This is the way you always dream to win, together with your teammate! Today we owe a lot to Gaia Realini, she was just incredible setting a hard pace and when we found ourselves alone on the climb, we decided to try to go to the finish and celebrate together. I wanted Gaia to win the stage but Team DS decided to let me win. I really want to say a big 'thank you' to Gaia and the rest of the team."
