The MYWHOOSH Ramadan Challenge will take place in its fourth edition on March 19 and 20.

Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the highly anticipated fourth edition of the "MYWHOOSH" Ramadan Cycling Challenge, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with MYWHOOSH. The event will take place on March 19 and 20, 2025, at Al Hudayriyat Island, offering a competitive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of sports and community during the holy month of Ramadan.

The challenge is one of the most prominent community events aimed at promoting a cycling culture, encouraging individuals to engage in sports, and fostering a healthy lifestyle.

This year, the challenge will mark a significant milestone as, for the first time since its inception, participation will be open to both citizens and residents alike. This inclusion enhances the spirit of competition and provides cycling enthusiasts from different backgrounds with the opportunity to participate in a unique Ramadan sports event.

The 2025 edition promises intense competition among elite cyclists in the Masters and Open categories. The women’s race will take place on Wednesday, March 19, covering a distance of 50 km, while the men’s race will be held the following day, Thursday, March 20, covering 60 km. The challenge will feature top cycling teams from across the UAE and the wider region.

The organizing committee has allocated a total prize pool of AED 600,000 for the winners, with 72 participants set to be honored. The first-place winner in the Open category will receive AED 30,000, while the Masters category champion will be awarded AED 15,000.

Commenting on the event, Talal Al Hashmi, Executive Director of Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said:

"We are proud to organize the fourth edition of the 'MYWHOOSH' Ramadan Cycling Challenge, which has become one of the leading community events in the country. This reflects our commitment to promoting a sports culture and encouraging the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Al Hudayriyat Island is the perfect venue for cycling races, and we are confident that this event will witness strong participation and outstanding performances from all competitors."

Al Hashmi added:

"We always strive to support community sports initiatives and encourage individuals from all walks of life to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle. We look forward to seeing remarkable engagement and broad participation."

The previous edition of the challenge witnessed great success and widespread participation, further solidifying its position as one of the UAE’s top community races. The fourth edition is expected to attract a large number of participants, given the growing interest in cycling and its role in enhancing fitness and overall well-being.
