"Your Way to Recovery" Running Race Witnesses Distinctive Community Participation in Madinat Zayed

The "Your Way to Recovery" Running Race, organised by the National Rehabilitation Centre in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra region, enjoyed enthusiastic participation from runners of all ages and from various backgrounds, reflecting the event’s significance as a platform to promote physical health and sports in a positive atmosphere

On this occasion, His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: "We are proud of our partnership with the National Rehabilitation Centre in organising this event that reflects our shared vision to promote community health and adopt an active lifestyle.

"The “Your Way to Recovery” Race represented an opportunity to unify efforts to spread awareness of the importance of sports and its essential role in improving the quality of life, and it also strengthened social ties in an atmosphere full of positive interaction and enthusiasm."

Yousef Al Dheeb Al Ketbi, CEO of the National Rehabilitation Centre, stated: “Organising this race in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council represents an important step towards promoting physical health and sports activity among members of the community. It also reflects our commitment at the National Rehabilitation Centre to spreading awareness about the importance of sports as an integral part of our daily lives, and its role as a deterrent of chronic diseases and the scourge of drugs.

Through this race, we seek to achieve important goals that include encouraging the community to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle and strengthening social ties through sports events that bring everyone together in an atmosphere of friendly competition and fun.”

Al Ketbi pointed out the significant role played by the National Rehabilitation Centre in providing prevention, rehabilitation and treatment services for addiction, in addition to developing and adopting integrated prevention and treatment programmes that meet the needs of patients and their families.

Al Ketbi also thanked the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for its continuous support for such events that contribute to spreading the culture of practicing sports and adopting a healthy lifestyle. He congratulated all the winners of the race, wishing them a unique experience full of enthusiasm and positivity.
