Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Aldar Partner to Promote Active and Healthy Communities

Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and Aldar Properties (‘Aldar’), a leading real estate developer, investor, and manager in the UAE, are partnering to advance community health and well-being in Abu Dhabi. The agreement represents ADSC’s first partnership with a non-government entity, and together with Aldar, it aims to leverage the resources, expertise, and networks of both organisations to integrate fitness, wellness, and active community participation into the daily lives of Abu Dhabi residents.

His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Properties, signed the MoU in a ceremony held in the presence of senior representatives from both organisations at Aldar Square.

It not only expands the Council’s engagement within the community but also strengthens our collective pledge to the government’s visionary 2030 agenda, which aims to cultivate healthier and happier communities. Leveraging the invaluable resources of Abu Dhabi 360, we aim to implement impactful initiatives that will have a long-lasting, positive impact on the well-being of individuals and the entire Abu Dhabi community."

Through this partnership, a range of ADSC-led initiatives, including the Abu Dhabi 360 programme, will be introduced to Aldar residents, students, and employees. Supported by an engaging mobile application, Abu Dhabi 360 offers valuable resources on workouts, nutritious recipes, and well-being, as well as access to community events, such as running, cycling, and open water swimming challenges. It further encourages participation in the programme by allowing participants to share fitness challenges with their friends and earn rewards that can be exchanged for unique experiences, fostering a supportive and motivational environment. Aldar will also work with the Abu Dhabi 360 initiative to roll out more activities to a selection of Aldar Education schools in Abu Dhabi.
